Elite Easter Choco-Bunneh - 2010
As much as I love Ozimals, I have to question the decision on the Elite Easter Choco-Bunneh. We've gone through two updates that were designed to reduce the number of bunnies bred, the happy stump has been taken away, the percentages on red bunneh have been changed and the price has gone up...all because Ozimals felt that over breeding had become a problem. So what do we get for Easter...an Elite Easter Choco-Bunneh that has the possibility of being bred from any version 1.2 nest. Can someone please tell me what happened to the concern about overbreeding and how it impacts the market?
Admittedly, it is a nice thought. Now, what happens when a lot of people decide to kindle every 1.2 nest they have...and you can safely bet there will be people that do that. |

RE: Elite Easter Choco-Bunneh - 2010
I'm just worried about all the unwanted buns that will result from kindling nests in attempt to get this elite. What happens to these buns AFTER they are birthed. I see a drop in prices on lives.

RE: Elite Easter Choco-Bunneh - 2010
I find it to be a very smart move. In one go, it removes a lot of nests from sale, as well as reducing the number of nests that will be turned in to Bunnybury.
What happens to those that turn out not to be elites? Many will just get deleted I expect - which is what I did. Having said that, yes, it throws yet another wrench into the confusion that has existed since update 1.1. The market needs to be allowed to stabalize - at least for a while (in my view). Sales are still way down. You can't sell things even below cost now. But hey, what do I know, I'm no economist. I just observe, and refrain from investing too heavily anymore. |

RE: Elite Easter Choco-Bunneh - 2010
Having toured one of the major markets tonight, it looks as though the number of "common" nests has been drastically reduced since yesterday. They're not all gone, of course, but noticeably fewer than usual.
Interesting, we'll have to see how this develops. |

I just wanted to do this post to vent out my disappointment in these elite choco 2010 bunnies and the ways of getting them.. If the bunny market wasnt already stuffed up already then it is more so now... Alot more thought should have been put into this.. Meaning there is going to be alot more undercutting in sales due to everyone birthing their nests, Ozimals should have considered doing this when bunnyburry was in full effect and people had the options of selling or placing the bunnies in the bunnyburry..
In saying this I have been turned off the bunnies due to how this is still very unorganised, Seems as ozimals was just thinking about bringing out the bunnies rather than think of everything such as bunnyburry before the bunnies were brought out, and there wouldnt be this messed up bunny market or this undercutting....

RE: Elite Easter Choco-Bunneh - 2010
I think it was a smart move to give people an incentive to clean up nests, however, now lives seem to be a dime a dozen and nests as well. I suspected that nest prices would rise and live prices would fall, I can see now that I was wrong and that both are cheap. I'm all for cleaning up the market and getting prices back up, but now I feel as if both nests and lives have lost more value. I am hoping that Bunnybury turn in (for all things other than 1.1 nests) is soon on it's way to complete what appears to be a cleanup attempt.
With that being said, I'd like to take a moment and say thanks to Ozimals for their attempt to refresh the market, it was much needed, I'm just not sure exactly what they have left up their sleeve, as I'm sure they have a plan for the amount of lives out there. I have faith in the Ozimals team as they have never done something that they didn't deem in the best interest of all the crazed bunny lovers, I'm just not sure what that is, but I eagerly await the announcement that is soon to follow ( atleast I think it's soon =) ) |

RE: Elite Easter Choco-Bunneh - 2010
The Ozimals team seems to be aware of the market, and to keep it in mind. That's good, considering the desires of their customer base.
That being said... They're in the business of making a fun breeding game about cute rabbits. They are not market economists. They did not promise you a living. The trade in bunnies is a side-effect, not the main purpose of the game. (I suppose Candy now knows how Philip Linden feels!) If you get rid of the financial aspect of the game, ask yourself - does retiring two furs and adding three new ones make the game more interesting - yes it does! Does the Choco-bunny make the game more interesting? Yes, it does! If we wait for the market to "stabilize," collectors like myself will get bored and wander off. Probably the best thing done to stabilize the market is Bunnybury - from now on, I'll only sell my best nests (provided I don't need them myself). BTW, I didn't kindle the 40 something nests I have in my store, nor the over 100 in my inventory. I kindled 4 today that I would have wanted anyway. No Choco-bunny for me

RE: DISAPPOINTED IN THE ELITE CHOCO 2010
Thing is - you don't HAVE to do it. Myself, I have two nests I was planning to birth anyway, and I'll leave it at that, and if they don't turn out to be choco cuties, oh well, it's not the end of the world if I don't get one.. It's just a nice possible bonus in addition to what I was already doing.
I think it's delightfully generous how this has been done, that everyone has a chance at getting one of these adorable elites, regardless of how many bunnies they have or what food the bunnies have been fed or how many gens left....and sure, there are some people out there who are going to be hatching MILLIONS of nests, I absolutely understand what you're saying here, but, how else would you have them do something like this? The fact of the matter is, Bunnybury isn't ready yet, and everyone would be all like "wtf?" if they released chocolate easter bunnies in like...two weeks or whatever, because, to be honest, what better time to release a special sort of bunny, than at Easter? Would you rather they'd rushed Bunnybury through and it be all full of holes and bugs and chaos and everyone complaining, just so that people who go overboard hatching too many nests can get rid of them easier? And quite frankly, I don't see the market for regular, classic bunnies getting that much worse than it is right now anyway. |

RE: DISAPPOINTED IN THE ELITE CHOCO 2010
I think its fair. Everyone stands a chance in getting the Elite easter bunny. If you are whining about more unwanted bunnies, I am sure they can be sent to Bunnybury, if you are afraid to waste your nests don't kindle them. Even a new player has a chance in getting an Elite as much as the old player, so I think its great.

RE: DISAPPOINTED IN THE ELITE CHOCO 2010
Im not saying it isnt great that they have done this, im basically saying they knew people would be hatching all these bunnies just to try and get one, but to b honest with you the bunnyburry should have been thought of at the start of them bringing out the bunnies all that should have been done before bringing out the bunnies, as petables did with the turtles, had all that together before they brought out the turtles so the market wouldnt be flooded with all the eggs and undercutting... Bunnyburry should have been brought out before doing something like this so the market wouldnt get worse than what it is now.. As far as i can see they are bringing themselves down to fail rather than bringing it back up to scratch.. But thats just my opinion and opinion of a few others i have spoken too....
