RE: Food bug for Lvl Two Breeder packs
I too am seeing the rabbits chomping through food and water. I buy several different levels of the packs as I feed the elders level 1 and I have 2 that are on level 3. I am still seeing those food packs being completed before 1 day is even done on at least either the food or the water. I also agree, the food is expensive enough without having to pay daily for more food to feed them. This is definitely a glitch that needs fixing!
Filing report as this is being posted. |

RE: Food bug for Lvl Two Breeder packs
I'm having a lot of issues with food. Mine seem to eat food a lot faster than they drink their water and the food/water seems to dissapear quicker then it's supposed to.
It's happening to my level 1 and level 2 food. I have two elders eating one level 1 food for instance, and that's supposed to last 14 days correct? Well, mine already ate through one thing of food and forced me to buy another in the matter of 3 days. Somethings buggy. |

RE: Food bug for Lvl Two Breeder packs
Just for what it's worth, I haven't seen any difference in food consumption since the update. I feed all three levels of food to different bunnies as well. Sim specific problem maybe? I feel terrible for those of you that have bunnies chomping like mad at their food. I'd end up having to hibernate many of mine in that situation. =(

RE: Food bug for Lvl Two Breeder packs
yah, basically I've just gotten worn out and any bunny that isn't spectacularly important, if it goes hibernation on me I plan to leave it there. I had a beautiful 3 day old white holland lop, lop ears citrine eye baby boy at ZERO HUNGER and ZERO THIRST go hiber on me this morning. Now I would like to know WHY he went hiber, because he was nested in food, and didn't have any hunger / thirst issues. Set at level two, and bedded in a big pile of level two food. For absolutely no reason I can think of, he's all black and hibernated. Me very sad bunny keeper today.

RE: Food bug for Lvl Two Breeder packs
Dunno if this will help anyone... but... As of saturday I am giving up my homestead and culling or moving whats left of my buns over to my other parcel of land. When I make the big move, I plan to pick up ANY partially used food and store it away.. and start fresh with food. I will document each food purchase for the first week, as well as how many bunnies there are vs food ratio. To see if there really is a difference in food consumption. I know a bagillion people have tested this.. and I've also been assured by the incredible Nessarose that there is no food issue... However... It DOES seem to me like my bunnies are eating FAR faster than they used to. Granted I have added a few more bunnies, but I have taken that into consideration thus far. used to I would buy 3 packs of food a week.. recently figured i would have to buy 4 a week for the new warrens added.. but ohhh no.. I've purchased somewhere nearing 7 packs and due to buy another when i make it home today.. But I am going to try testing this again, starting from nothing, and see what the outcome is.

RE: Food bug for Lvl Two Breeder packs
Make sure your bunnies start *off eating that food at 0% hunger or thirst(or deduct whatever it is they are at, from what you put out). That way you start with a 100% fresh clean slate.
Otherwise your numbers may be off again. ![]() Break it down now.... |

RE: Food bug for Lvl Two Breeder packs
My bunnies are all eating but they consume only food (and very very fastly) and almost no water so I am forced to buy pack of food even if I have a big amount of water left.
To give an idea I yesterday placed Level 2 - 20 food and 20 water in the Food Server and today I find that are left: 3 - Food 12 - Water The issue is not related to the Food server as i am keeping some few bunnies on Level 3 - without storing the food and water in a server - but the bugs is the same I have tons of water and the food go away 2/3 times faster |

RE: Food bug for Lvl Two Breeder packs
A-Your example does not mean it *wasn't the server. The only way to determine for certain the server had nothing to do with it, is to run a controlled environment without using the server. If the problem still exists, then you can say 100% it wasn't the autofeeder/server. (I am not saying it *is* the feeder, I am simply saying you cannot take it off the culprit list until you can prove the problem exists without it for *all* the bunnies affected. Process of elimination is needed to pinpoint issues like this)
B-Go to this thread and follow the directions. It's quite likely you will end your food issues, as most have. And if you do not get results from doing this(same process CSRs use to find and fix issues), then a ticket is in order so someone can come out to your location and help you. Just don't let the problems go continually, or you'll end up with an even bigger headache. http://forums.ozimals.com/showthread.php?tid=9098 This is the best way to find an issue or bug, if one exists, and to stop potential problems in the future. The problem for many folks is they already had an issue-perhaps they didn't notice, perhaps they did-and it snowballed to the point where it sits now. Once a problem exists, it will only get bigger if you don't fix it swiftly. ![]() Break it down now.... |

If you're doing tests, be sure to do them without the server. They are usually fine but they can compound an existing imbalance problem.
